11/04/2006 - Anne Moyle, of
Tynedale in Northumberland, has been appointed
as a new member of the North East Regional Fisheries,
Ecology and Recreation Advisory Committee (RFERAC).
The committee advises the Environment
Agency in the north east, Yorkshire and the Humber
on the maintenance, improvement and development
of fisheries, conservation, navigation, ecology
and recreation.
Speaking about her appointment
Anne said: "I am delighted to be joining
the committee and am particularly keen to my use
my business experience and knowledge of working
with the private, community and voluntary sectors
to help the Environment Agency broaden their perspective.
"In my role as chief executive
of the Get Hooked On Fishing charitable trust
I have a strong interest in the use of angling
to include, support and develop young people."
Anne was awarded Business In
The Community's HRH Ambassador for West Midlands
for her work with Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE).
She previously held a number of senior management
roles with HSBC Bank and is also chair of Milecastle
Housing.
Anne’s first RFERAC meeting
will be on 26 April at the Environment Agency’s
Phoenix House office in Leeds.
The Environment Agency has several
committees which act as a two-way channel of communication
and contribute to its decision-making process.
The committees help to build stronger links between
the Agency and those it works with, especially
businesses and their associations.
The Environment Agency is the

after by today’s society, so that tomorrow’s generations
inherit a cleaner, healthier world.
