27-Jun-2006
- On Tuesday, 4 July 2006, Environment Agency
officers will be at the Thistle Hotel, Gloucester
Road, Cheltenham, between 9.30am and 4.30pm, to
provide free advice and information about environmental
regulations to small and medium size businesses.
We are attending as part of
the free Cheltenham Business Advice Open Day,
organised by HM Revenue and Customs, Business
Link, OFT, HSE, The Patent Office, ITMA, Companies
House, Age Positive, The Pensions Regulator and
the Environment Agency.
It has been designed for people
from small and medium-sized businesses who are
looking for one to one advice about their obligations
in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Martin Everett, Field Team Leader,
says: "We know how difficult it can be for
small businesses to keep up with changing and
complex environmental regulations. This is an
ideal opportunity to come along and find out what
your environmental obligations are and how you
can meet them. There will be plenty of information
available, and our experts will be on hand to
provide advice.
"We are keen to work with
people who know that environmental compliance
is part of the bottom line and want to reduce
their business risks. As an example, oil tanks
are a common source of pollution and some simple
measures can reduce the risk of a hefty clean-up
bill and even a fine, as well as saving money
on lost or stolen fuel."

Day, or to book, go to www.businessadviceday.co.uk
For people who are unable
to attend on the day, advice on environmental
regulations is available from our NetRegs internet
